About the Project

Peche is a small pastry café located in the centre of Saint Petersburg. The interior is built around a warm, “edible” palette of biscuit, pistachio, and coffee tones. Restrained colours, clean forms, and minimal decoration allow the focus to remain on the guest and the experience of enjoying food, coffee, or wine.

The space is finished in a “St. Petersburg grey” — a tone that reflects the character of the city. The interior does not compete with its context but follows it, creating a calm and cohesive atmosphere.

The café features a dense seating arrangement with a communal table at its centre, bringing guests together and acting as a point of interaction.

Trees in planters are placed along its edges, while solid wood furniture adds warmth and tactility. A mirrored wall visually expands the space, making it feel more open and light.

The project is based on a subtle interplay of colour, light, and texture.

A restrained bar counter draws attention to the pastry display as one of the key elements of the interior. Soft textiles and delicate minimalist details introduce a slight sense of playfulness into the otherwise calm space.

The result is a warm and intimate environment, suited for a slow and relaxed experience.
