About the Project
Ember Café is an urban café that shifts its atmosphere throughout the day. In the morning, it invites guests for coffee and pastries, while in the evening it becomes a place for dinner and wine within a warm, welcoming interior.
Layout
The space consists of two halls. The main hall is elongated and filled with natural light from five windows overlooking the embankment of Saratov and the Volga River. The smaller hall offers a more intimate setting.
From the main hall, the pastry kitchen is visible through glass, becoming part of the overall experience. The bar is divided into three sections: an open bakery area, a coffee station with an espresso machine, and a zone dedicated to pastries and wine.

Concept
A key accent in the main hall is the bright red espresso machine, complemented by service stations in a deep wine tone. The bar fronts are made of tinted oak veneer, while the porcelain stoneware countertop is echoed by terrazzo inserts.
The central table is a defining element of the interior, its shape inspired by the curves of the Volga River. A live olive tree growing from the table references Italian culture and cuisine, which served as an inspiration for the client.
The combination of natural materials and calm tones creates a sense of comfort and ease. Furniture pieces are sourced from Russian designers, with some elements custom-designed and produced based on the architects’ drawings
