VL_PENTHOUSE

About the Project

A two-level penthouse with a private terrace designed for a young and growing family.

Upon entering, the space opens into a large living room with a dining area, designed in a calm palette with an emphasis on natural materials. Stone veneer is used in the entrance zone and along the staircase, adding a more robust character. Most of the walls are finished with natural oak veneer panels, bringing warmth and a sense of depth to the interior.

The kitchen is set behind a wide structural opening, which makes it feel more intimate and slightly separated from the main space. The use of burnt oak finishes enhances this effect. The client cooks frequently and shares this process online, so it was important to make the kitchen both practical and visually clean.

The second level begins with a graphic corridor that distributes the private areas.

In the master bedroom, the bed is placed at the centre and oriented towards panoramic windows. The view of the Volga becomes part of the space — from morning light to the evening city, it works as a natural extension of the interior.

The bathroom within the master suite also features panoramic windows overlooking the river. A suspended mirror keeps the view open while remaining fully functional.

The interior is built on a combination of natural materials and contrasting textures.

Stone, wood, and a restrained palette form the base, while darker and richer surfaces add depth. The result is a warm, composed interior designed for everyday living, where architecture and the view work together.
