PORTLAND_COFFEE_VOLZHSKAYA

About the Project

The space we worked with in the centre of Saratov was previously occupied by one of the brand’s earlier cafés.

The existing layout worked well, so we chose not to change it significantly. We removed seating from the window sills and slightly adjusted the configuration of the bar counter.

The space retains its original structure.

The main changes focused on the bar area, making it more comfortable to use, and on the seating, opening up the interior and making it more comfortable.

The idea was to create a café that works not only as a place to relax, but also as a space where people feel comfortable working, for example, on a laptop.

At the same time, the name of the brand set the direction — the interior needed to reflect the atmosphere of Portland.

The composition of the bar counter and the lighting above it references the shape of a funnel — a symbol of alternative coffee brewing methods.
