About the Project
Portland is a chain of cafés, and this location is the fourth project we have completed for the brand. Designed in a contemporary style, the project began with a full demolition of the existing interior, allowing for a completely new and cohesive space.
A key element of the design is the extensive use of wood veneer. It is applied not only to the walls but also across the furniture, including tables, the bar counter, and seating. This approach creates a unified visual language and reinforces the contemporary character of the interior.
The space is organised as an open, continuous environment with a clear and logical arrangement of functions.
The bar counter and seating areas define the overall structure, ensuring the café works comfortably throughout the day.
The interior is based on a combination of natural materials and contemporary detailing.
Minimal lighting fixtures and metal accents add precision, while a mix of contemporary and vintage furniture introduces depth and a more layered character.
