About the Project

Nestframe is a project about freedom — freedom of movement, configuration, and living in architecture that adapts to both user and context while maintaining a coherent and contemporary identity.

The project emerged from an exploration of prefabricated architecture and a desire to move beyond concept into a fully realised living environment. The first Nestframe modular house has been built and is now in use.

Layout

he interior is designed with transportation constraints in mind, where each element is functionally justified. The layout integrates ergonomics, engineering systems, and everyday living scenarios.

The connection between modules is carefully resolved so that the house is perceived as a unified whole rather than a collection of separate units. Several structural and interior solutions were developed specifically for this system and implemented here for the first time.

Clean forms, restrained geometry, and panoramic glazing create a sense of openness, allowing the surrounding landscape to become part of the interior. At the same time, the architecture remains mobile: the house can be disassembled, transported, and reassembled in a new location.

Concept

Contemporary prefabricated housing has moved beyond experimentation and is becoming a viable alternative to traditional construction. The modular system allows for buildings of varying sizes and configurations to be realised within relatively short timeframes while maintaining a high level of quality.

Architecture engages with its environment, forming a comfortable living space across different contexts.

The design and production process is based on precision and control. Modular units are manufactured off-site according to strict technical standards, then delivered to the site and assembled using a crane. Once installed, the house is ready for occupation.

The base element of the system is a module measuring 2500 × 5000 mm. By combining modules, a variety of volumes and layouts can be created, depending on functional requirements, site conditions, and topography. This flexibility allows the architecture to respond to specific needs.
